The 1F reinforced slaters felt is the traditional type 1f bitumen underlay used under slates and tiles on ventilated pitched roof systems, the same specification roofers and builders have relied on for decades. Hessian-backed for added strength and tear resistance, this reinforced slaters felt acts as a secondary waterproofing membrane beneath your roof covering, protecting the structure if wind-driven rain or snow gets past the tiles.
Importantly, it is also certified as a bat-friendly roofing felt, making it suitable for use on properties where bats are present or likely, a legal requirement in many renovation and re-roofing projects. Developed and manufactured in the UK, each roll covers 15m x 1m and is to be used in accordance with Eaves Plus ventilation systems.
